Good Things!
Many a limping business is kept from healthful development by the firm’s morbid aversion to publicity.
Perhaps they are honestly so con¬ scious of the excellence of their wares that they expect the busy world to search them out But the busy world hasn’t time.
If you have a good thing to sell, proclaim it. The world wants good things, but it can’t discover them in hiding places. Bring them into the open market by advertising them.

Preface,
We have pleasure in presenting this the seventh volume of Henderson’s Edmonton and Strathcona Twin City Directory. The canvass of the city, necessary to the publication of this work, clearly indicates that the rapid growth and development which we have had to report in pervious issues is of a permanent character and we have endeavored to faithfully chronicle this progress, for it is gener¬ ally recognized that there is no better means of spreading information concerning- a city, or of making known its commercial and social advantages than through the medium of a thorough, up-to-date City Directory. Such a work we have endeavored to make this present issue.
From the classified business section of the work it will be noticed that many new business firms and professional men have located here during the year.
We have again to extend our thanks to our patrons for so marked an increase in the advertising department and for this expression of their growing faith in the necessity and usefulness of this publica¬ tion, which has become an indispensable adjunct to a modern city’s business machinery.
. Respectfully,
HENDERSON DIRECTORIES, ALBERTA, LIMITED.
May, 1911.
